hi, i’m gianna!

I've always had an eye for design. I grew up watching house-flipping shows on HGTV and used them as inspiration for my yearly room redesigns. But I was also, always, a writer. Creating stories felt like a natural outlet for me, which led me to a creative writing program in high school and ultimately to journalism at Syracuse University.

Journalism taught me many things, but I found myself yearning for something less structured, more creative, and more collaborative. One graphic design elective later, and I was hooked. I found guidance through design professors and a real sense of community in my classmates. Even without a traditional art background, I learned through their work and my own intuition—and I never looked back.

I can't imagine a life without design now. Five hours in Figma might be someone's nightmare, but it's become second nature to me. Web design, product design, user research; it all just started making sense.

I believe great design is accessible, intuitive, and easy to find—and I'm looking to bring that perspective to design roles in the New York City or Philadelphia Metropolitan areas.
