A Slight Derailment…
Between my previous design and my final product, I started fresh entirely. I started thinking I wanted something more sophisticated and cohesive. After researching more about Puerto Rican culture, I found some cool figures that have enriched America in one way or another. I wanted to highlight them and their heritage, so I decided to do faceless portraits with a Puerto Rican flag. While I believed it was as successful as I could’ve made them (since I am still refining my illustration skills), the entire mood of the happy and fun culture that I initially set out to portray was entirely gone. I finally went back to my original design and created something I am very happy with.
